James Smith was being held without bail on a first-degree murder charge for the June 21, 2021 death of Dwayne Edmonds, 32, Baltimore police announced. Smith was arrested on Feb. 3, they said.
The shooting happened at a store on the 2500 block of Orleans for a reported shooting just after 3 p.m., where police found Edmonds suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to John Hopkins Hospital and died shortly after.
After being arrested in Atlanta, Georgia, Smith has been denied bail and is being held at the Baltimore City Central Booking Intake Facility. Police have not released any other information.
